Crawford {Pembroke Welsh Corgi} - ADOPTED

May we introduce Crawford!

He is a 6 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who is a happy and laid back kind of guy.

Just like JD, this young man has been loved and pampered his whole life.  Due to allergies of a new addition to the family, Crawford was starting to live outside and he was just miserable.  So the owners did the brave and compassionate thing and decided that he would be happier with another family, rather than living outside by himself.

He is housetrained and very well mannered. He's a perfect gentleman and is very obedient. He is good with dogs and is used to being around livestock and horses.  He is not particularly fond of cats but will ignore them of you tell him to.

He loves to go for walks and is great at fetch and tug-o-war. He is friendly with everyone he meets and is a pretty happy guy.

For more information on Crawford, please contact the Windy City Canine Rescue at info@windycityrescue.com or by calling 403-359-3139.

Harley and Lily {Chihuahuas} - - ADOPTED

Lily (above) is a cute little 2 year old chihuahua and Harley (below) is her handsome older brother.

They are great pups that get along with other dogs, completely ignore cats and are good with small kids. They are currently being fostered with a 5 year old boy and as you can see, are not minding his company at all!

They sleep in a crate at night but they are very cuddly and wouldn't mind sleeping on the bed with you.  They both listen well and have proven to be good off leash. They are house-trained, although Harley had to prove his manliness when he first arrive and marked a few times.  Once that was out of his system, he acted like the true gentleman that he is.

They love to sleep on the back of the couch like a cat, and will give you tonnes of kisses when you cuddle with them.  They can be a little barky, especially when they first meet people, but as soon as you pet them they settle down.

These two little ones are looking to find a home where they can stay together as they are quite attached to one another.

Harley and Lily would make a great addition to any home!

For more information on Harley and Lily, please contact the Windy City Canine Rescue at info@windycityrescue.com or by calling 403-359-3139.

JD {Cocker Spaniel x Poodle} - ADOPTED

JD is a super fun 12 year old cocker spaniel, poodle cross.

It is obvious this little girl has been loved her whole life.  She's been to a vet regularly, she's been on lots of walks and she is in great health.  She was surrendered because her dad was moving into a retirement home which sadly doesn't allow dogs.  She is a little confused by the sudden changes but she is doing OK, and we hope he is too.

JD is completely housetrained and doesn't get into any mischief when left home alone. She is a princess who likes soft beds and couches. She also likes to sleep on the bed with you - no dog bed on the floor for her. She's been pampered her whole life, and she isn't about to let that change!

She likes to play with toys, likes to cuddle, loves to go for walks, and is good with other dogs and cats.  She is actually pretty darn spunky for a 12 year old dog!  She is usually pretty quiet but can get a little sassy when you are slow at throwing the toy, or handing over the treat.  It is actually pretty cute.

JD is looking for a new home...  Might that be with you?

For more information on JD, please contact the Windy City Canine Rescue at info@windycityrescue.com or by calling 403-359-3139.

Ozzie {Happy Ending}

Ozzie has settled in very well and we just love him. He loves his walks and rides in the car. He's a great addition to the family!!

He is proving to be a wonderful pet and follows us everywhere. He is very playful but doesn't like to drop anything! He is catching on quickly though.

He was camera shy to start with but is getting more photogenic as time goes by. He is such a softie!
