Long Overdue Updates

Sorry for the delay in the updates!  All the dogs have been doing great though!

Marley - ADOPTED
Marley has been having so much fun. She loves, loves, loves camping and is very excited by all the gophers and fishing.  She loves to chase the lures.  LOL. Her foster mom has started biking with her and she is doing great with it.  She listens really well and stays nicely beside the bike.  She has spent quite a bit of time around young kids (3 and under) and has been very good with them.  She gets a little obsessed with cats, so unless you have one that enjoys being chased, she would probably be better in a cat free home.  She is great with other dogs and just loves to play.

Ellie
Ellie has gone to a new foster home as her first one moved away (We miss you Kendra!) and Ellie settled in easily.  Her new foster home has a young child and Ellie is very patient, even when she is being sat on!  Whenever she has had enough, she just gets up and calmly walks away. She loves to people watch and will spend hours just sitting at the front window watching the world go by.  She also enjoys just hanging out in the car and going for rides.  With her new found health and energy she loves going for walks and playing tug in the backyard.

Lyla
Lyla is doing fantastic and is such a loveable dog.  She is friendly to everyone and everything she meets.  She loves to play with other dogs and is especially happy if they join her in a game of chase. She also enjoys playing tug-o-war with other dogs or people.  She's even managed to convince her foster cat sister to play with her.  She also does great with kids and seems to know not to jump up and to take treats very gently from them.  Once she is finally tired, she loves to cuddle.  This girl is sweet, sassy and very playful!  She is up for any adventure whenever you are.

Finn - ADOPTED
I'll let a few photos speak for how well Finn has been doing lately....

As you can see, he is doing great!

Succesful Meet And Greet

We had a great day at Henderson Lake today. The rain held off for the most part and it was nice to see all our rescue dogs in one place. :) Everyone was on their best behaviour and really showcased just how great rescue dogs are. Thank you so much to the volunteers who came- both the foster homes, and those who just stopped by to say hi. And of course thank to the dog lovers who stopped by to see our dogs aswell. We hope to get a few applications from the meeting today. Fingers and Paws Crossed!!!!

Here are just a few photos from the day:

Lyla says that it is hard to behave when she's so excited to meet people!

Lyla- who was not very happy about the new halti. :)

Piper did great and was loving every minute of the socialising. :)

Fin was the life of the party- and was very happy when the parks caretaker brought him a tennis ball.

Lyla gets some cuddles. :)

Ellie soaked up any attention...she is just the sweetest dog ever.
pretty girl marley.

What a Difference!

Are you coming down to Henderson Lake on Sunday (from 11-1 near the pool) to meet the dogs?  If so, I'm glad I went and took pictures of Ellie so that you can recognize her.  What a difference a few months of good food, medications and love have done for this girl.

She is just so happy now!

She is playful...

She is loving...

And I have I mentioned how happy she is????

Ellie and the gang would love for you to stop in for a visit.  We hope to see you this weekend!
